I’m a boomer. I have worked all of my life. I have 5 grandchildren and not one of them are on drugs. They all work and are fine people. I was married for 52 years before my husband died of cancer. He built an incredible business passed to our family. I resent being classified as rotten.

We did get up at day break, did chores for 1 hour before walking a mile to school in the freezing rain and snow. My husband and I worked 2 jobs to provide for me and 3 kids. All my children have worked my 1st owns and operates a garage and is a specialist in the computers in the engines of that vehicle you drive everyday and has put himself through schooling and is thriving. My 2nd son is working for Government contractors, my daughter put herself through school, payed for it herself, worked 2 jobs to pay for school loans, every nickel and dime saved and ate peanut butter sandwiches and eggs and Ramen noodles. She is a entromoloigest and excellent at her job. My grandchildren are not lazy living in anyone's basement, they all (6) have good jobs are assets to their communities. I am sorry you both feel this way..I sure did not realized you felt like this about us older folk!

This is so true!! My grandmother keeps grilling me about how they had it just as rough and that one day we will be able to afford a home and with hard work we can do it. My husband is working 65+ hours a week trying to make as much as we can and we are barely making ends meet with a house that’s falling in. I stay home with our 1 year old, we are doing the best we can but it’s not enough and my grandmother is convinced that if I watch enough Dave Ramsey I’ll be okay.

here's a news flash, IT'S NOT JUST GEN Z THAT'S STRUGGLING AND ON THE BRINK OF LOSING IT ALL... I'm gen x and in my small circle, we're ALL struggling and struggling hard! the system isn't just against the young, it's against the middle class and lower class in a huge way.
