@60minutes9: The family of Ozzy Osbourne has sadly released a statement on the passing of the Black Sabbath lead singer and heavy metal pioneer at age 76, just weeks after his final concert. Ozzy took to the stage on July 6 for one last performance, which was attended by hard-rock royalty and 40,000 fans. He performed solos before he was joined onstage by former Black Sabbath bandmates. Ozzy left the iconic 70s group when his bandmates fired him for his legendary excesses. He then went on to become a successful solo artist, and in the 2000s starred alongside his family in their own reality TV series, The Osbournes. Later, Ozzy cleaned up his act and chose a life of sobriety, telling Tara Brown in 2010 the highlight of his day is enjoying a cup of tea. Watch his interview with #60Mins from 2010 on Youtube.
