That was part of his life. Those are important memories. You can't wipe the memories out of his brain so who cares about pictures? Be more secure in your current relationship than you are worried about his past.

when you get married you become one, you shouldn’t be worried about your past relationships. the person your with deserves respect. I’m not saying vows to someone and keeping my ex on my phone. but everyone is allowed different boundaries

I think it’s up to you. If it makes you uncomfortable that’s valid, if they don’t want to delete them because it’s part of their life that’s also valid . People can have different view on how they look at things. But it does make you not compatible if not deleting them is a deal breaker.

photos and videos shouldn't be deleted but they should be for down the road when youre at the end and you want to remember youre life. not regrets or I wish I had them but "oh yeah, I remember them. that was fun or whatever."
