@pinkyflick_: It’s interesting: in human culture, it’s kind of frowned upon to pet a cat with your foot even if it’s gentle and full of love. Somehow, we’re taught that affection comes from the hand. From the fingers. From the palm. As if “the hand means attention.” But cats don’t think like that. To them, hands and feet are just paws. They don’t divide their own paws into “upper” and “lower.” A paw is a paw. And if you gently pet a cat with your foot, to her it might feel exactly the same as the touch of a hand. She feels the warmth, the contact, the presence. She doesn’t analyze the shape. Sometimes it seems like we humans overcomplicate simple things. 🤍
