@.sassyconfetti: @Class Act Dining Chicago recently opened its doors in bucktown with the goal of keeping the dinners here feeling like a dinner party and not just another tasting menu. Chef Nicolai started his journey to this brick and mortar spot by doing pop up dinner parties all over chicago and brings that same energy here. to give it that dinner party vibe, you start the experience in the foyer with the first 3 courses. it’s a time to mingle, meet and have a cocktail 🍸 and then you move into the bigger space for the main courses which for this menu are all focused on chef’s childhood. dishes like “Not Campbell’s” and “Mama Sauce” remind you of your own mom, dishes like “Taco Truck” and “Ice Cream Truck” brought me back to my own childhood grabbing food with my dad. the staff even give you a little late night snack to take home 😱 but the fun doesn’t stop there because next door is Nightcap which is a secret speakeasy with creative cocktails that taste like cucumber melon and pho 🍜 (yes, literal pho). you also can go to the speakeasy without going to dinner at the restaurant so highly recommend if you’re very into cocktails 🍸. this particular menu is available until sept 30th thursday-sunday in two seatings per night: 5:30pm and 8:30pm. book it nowwwww!
