I have 2 kids and had my tubes tied when I was 30 years old. I never had a problem with my periods until after I had them tied. 9 years later I had to have a hysterectomy because they had gotten so bad. Not trying to scare you away from it because I still don’t regret having them tied, just wanted to give you something else to think about while deciding what to do. I wish you the best of luck on whatever decision you make. 😊

I'm 25 with 2 kids and my doctor didn't even question me when I said I wanted to be sterilized when my 2nd was born. Due to my life being at risk with pregnancy I chose that route. If your doctor says no find one that says yes no matter your age or how many kids you have. 🫶

I had my tubes removed. Biggest mistake ever. Not because I can’t have any more kids, but the changes my periods have and my body are horrible.

I wish I wouldn't have had to have a csection i wanted that moment of pushing her out and having her layed on me. I was so medicated I barely remember seeing my baby i dont remember her first cries I didnt even get to touch her until she was an hour old due to being stitched back up. close your chapter the way that would make you the happiest.

I had a friend who had a tubal and her husband had the vasectomy and a little over a year later she was pregnant 😳

I didn’t make my final decision about a tubal until after I had my son in November 2006 via C-section . I had so many medical problems, I was overwhelmed & couldn’t think straight. I finally had the Essure tubal in March of 2007, still ended up having more miscarriages. I couldn’t do birth control because I have a clotting factor. I eventually had a hysterectomy in 2012. Even if you wait to make your decision after you have your baby. You have to have time to make sure it’s what you want. They can do tubal removal and even a hysterectomy laparoscopy’s. They do not have to do c-sections. It’s more healing time and costs more.

Yep I’ve heard it so many times after a man gets that done the women gets pregnant. I’m stuck on this too, because I will feel like my womanhood is gone if I can’t have more kids. Even though this is our 5th & last.. (I think) 😅

You don’t have to have a c-section to have your tubes tied. I had a natural birth than the next day they went through my belly button and removed a section of my tubes.

I'm personally pregnant with my first child and probably my last because afterwards I plan to look for a gyn that will preform a hysterectomy. I'm 26 and have endometriosis. I know it'll probably be hard to find someone to do it but my previous gyn( I can't see her anymore due to insurance changes) was saying that she'd do it because my endometriosis is soooo bad. I've had to get a laparoscopy every 3 years since I was diagnosed at 19 to remove it. But my whole family is on me being like,"what if ya want more kids?" and I understand that but my partner and I have talked about long before I became pregnant and we're both okay with just one especially since my pregnancy so far has been hell! don't get me wrong I grateful and can't wait to meet my baby girl but I DONT want to go through this again... which I know every pregnancy is different but i don't want to take the gamble that it'll be the same or worse... that and we said that if we change our minds in the future we'd much rather just adopt and give a kid love and a house who really needs it. There's so many kids in the system who needs a home and a loving family. overall I'm just ready to be done with my uterus, it has done nothing but brought me misery. the only thing it has done that wasn't making my life a nightmare is making my baby girl.
