It’s so insane but such classic newburyport🙄There are similar conversations happening in Amesbury but people are thankfully a bit more open to a variety of housing here since we’ve always had a lot more renters

They need better branding. Not “apartments,” but “luxury rental units in a gated community.” That way, NIMBY Nancy & Ned know they’re not going to be invited The Poors into town.

I’m so for this instead of deforestation to do it - in my hometown, damn near every plaza is beyond repair and they sit and rot while they cut down and increase flooding with overdevelopment

Idk what Mass's housing vacancy rate is, but it's like .5% up here in NH and people complain about every. single. new. apartment. building. They are convinced people from Mass will fill them up🙄
