I witnessed a guy get fired 1/2 way through an engine rebuild. he calmly walked out to his tool box put all his stuff away, locked it up and then broadcast all the bolts in his trays across the shop with a couple handfuls from his random bin for good measure. epic

One time I quit in the middle of a 3.5 ecoboost explorer timing and waterpump job. Packed up my tools and left in the middle of the day. The guy that got handed the basket case asked me to come in while the owner was away on vacation to finish it for him and that he would pay me because he didn't want to deal with it 😂

I have, 1987 Jaguar. Pulled engine for a rear main seal. Threw all the bolts in 1 box. Owner was impressed at how fast I got the engine out. Told him we have a problem. He asked what, I said I quit.

I did it once they decided to take me from hourly to flat rate without telling me so I quit on the spot with a 6.4 powerstroke disassembled on my engine stand so I piled the bolts on the tailgate and left the engine sitting on the floor great day

I worked for a place that treated everyone poorly. I had a heater core out of a Malibu, through all the bolts and clips in the car and left.

If your worked at my shop and you left I would just pay one of my other guys to do the job and pay them full rate. May have to fix some of your mistakes but I would pay them for that to. You choose your path and if your not payed appropriately then you need to go some where else and work
