our future is one of confirmed suffering … officially. no longer are theories about the future “purely speculative pessimism where outcomes can be avoided with commitment to change”, no. the environmental degradation to follow isn’t the precipice of doom … it’s the worried expert theories and testimonies of our society toppling into self induced, practically irreversible devastation … traversing full throttle through the bowels of hell. the subsequent consequences of these attacks on institution, infrastructure and academia are infinite. when combining the epa’s shifting focus on destruction with a weakened … inferior legal framework… and a simultaneously normalized … nonexistent belief in science … what we’re heading towards is worse than any Armageddon I imagined.

They already don’t regulate climate change as a practical policy. They’ve been refusing to classify greenhouse gas emissions under RCRA for literally 30 years despite directives from several different courts and executive administrations to do so. We’re not losing any headway here, individual states and regional cooperatives like RGGI have begun to implement their own regulations superseding the federal governments responsibility.
