So I know the case with some hockey teams is the standard bi weekly pay checks, so I would assume that it would be something similar unless stated otherwise in their contracts.

Well, drivers and other elite athletes alike have deals that are typically paid annual salaries through contracts and then there’s performance bonuses on a race by race basis. Then come in the sponsors. Then whatever you win from the championship I suppose, but that’s mostly under the team’s profit and not under a driver’s. And here’s the other thing, the very very rich people usually use private wealth services that manage, negotiate, invest or lump sum the money so their cash flow is different. And then the team personnel are usually paid salaries that come with race bonuses, I guess it depends on the job but they should be paid monthly or biweekly like us normal folks.

I believe they are salaried maybe annual. but i know they get paid per race depending on performance and their fines are removed from those payments.
