@addictedtotools: Anyone else do this one? This is how I cut a power or data outlet with a drill and holesaw. Also the clip isn’t always required but shows the sizing.

Don’t usually ever see c clips on cabinetry. Normally just some 20mm screws in the corners but if it works it works

If you’re cutting in cabinetry, you are not using a c clip 🤣

I’m a cabinet maker this is exactly how I do it. Had a new tradie start and he would only cut 1 25mm hole where the wire comes out. He said the sparky has to multi anyway it doesn’t matter. Thoughts?

54mm hole saw 40mm centre points, i always ask at start of project, sometimes cut out rectangles for flush fits, or in most cases we have Zeta in our joinery and no choice but to router it properly

Tip. Don’t go all the way through on the two side ones. Go back to the middle one all the way through then finish both side ones

I use a similar method for hardies, except I mark everything out on masking tape first. A rasp file is great for smoothing out the middle peaks too, or for enlarging a side if the outlet is a strange shape.
