@demimerio: It was about time that punk, hardcore, and metal scenes became a bit more inclusive 🌈🤟 #flinta #moshpit #punk #hardcore #metalmusic #tiktokideas #tiktokcomedian
as a cis woman, i just want to get MORE into the regular mosh pit, to give back a little bit 🥰

It’s ridiculous that people try to make punk non inclusive when punk is actually a movement all about inclusivity for all, we are very against sexism, ableism, racism, transphobia and hate towards vulnerable groups of people. We need shows to be safe spaces for people to feel included and enjoy so hearing that FLINTA mosh pits are a thing is amazing.

You should Check out „KIZ Frauentagskonzert“. Each women‘s day the play a concert just for women and the moshpits are definetly different with just women.

I'm a tiny person and every time I jump into a moshpit people are careful and some even protect me I never had issues, I guess depends on the audience

I think that's a horrible idea. the whole idea of "playful violence" contains that everyone is safe. that's also the first moral ground rule in every mosh pit. a moshpit which needs a safe zone outside is just unhinged unacceptable violence per se

Ok soooooo how would people know, im non-binary/gender Fluid but still have a beard, how do people tell the difference between cis-hetero man and non binary/gender fluid (but more male looking) people or other queer male looking persons, like i woudn't wanna make it weird for people or feel like im in the wrong place, but thinking of going into a "normal" moshpit is pure dread

now that gives me nostalgia. I used to play drums in a feminist punk band pre-pandamic. We played A LOT of FLINTA* events. Often they also have a safety team if it's organised in a DIY space. volunteers that walk around the space, so you always know who to approach if something happens, and there is always someone to intervene if someone can't be respectfull. They are often also organised bz FLINTA* themselves, so there's a lot of emphasis on providing a save cultural space. Unfortunatly, sexism and misogyny is quite alive and well in leftist DIY spaces, so it was always a bit of a struggle to organize events.

I love that we try to give disaffected people in our society their spaces and try to make them feel safe. But can we stop with the framing of these initiatives? Why are we so heavily focusing on blaming instead of reinforcing positive structures?

the only time I felt comfortable enough to join a moshpit was at a Terror show. And it felt as safe as a moshpit can feel haha but the guys were so careful around me that I felt I was ruining their fun 😭 (not complaining, I just don't wanna bother others)

Na, mosh pits have always been about unity, this is just another unnecessary divide, the crowd killing stuff needs to go tho
