Jaya and Vijay were asked by lord vishnu to be devotee of lord vishnu in there 7 life's or to die by lord vishnu in there 3 life's so they choose to die In their first life, Jaya and Vijaya were Hiranyakashipu and Hiranyaksha, killed by Vishnu's avatars Varaha and Narasimha, respectively. In their second life, they were Ravana and Kumbhakarna, killed by Rama. Finally, in their third life, they were Shishupala and Dantavakra, killed by Krishna.
