As mom of 3, the newborn is my favorite. The toddler years can be 50/50. So far older kids in a lot of ways so much easier and enjoyable with minor annoyances.

Same. And honestly it just keeps getting better. My babies are now 20 and 14 and it's just amazing - they're great people, lovely company and zero hassle. Couldn't pay me to go back to babies!

I adore newborns, and loved it- but also didn’t feel human until my little guy was 2. He’s almost 3 now and he’s soooo much fun.

For me it’s lit but of the opposite, loved newborn phase, didn’t enjoy the 1-2 year age , got better again from when he was 3. Now he is 6!♥️

Agree!!! Just wait for the kid stage! It’s gold! It’s okay to not love certain stages. Everyone talks about “you only have 18 summers” but like I really think my favorite part of motherhood will be knowing my kids as adults! I love the kid stage now so much because I’m truly getting to know them and all the ways they are their own person!

Yesss. NB phase with my first was brutal and I felt so guilty about not liking it, 2nd/3rd could not be more different because of exactly what you said — I know the payoff is coming!! And these are my last babies so I am enjoying it so much more 💛
