If you’re going to resist, you should at least know the law. There is no legal requirement for a police officer to tell you what you’ve done wrong before you’ve given them license and registration. As for the officer’s behavior it was completely unacceptable and is excessive but this dude started this whole situation.

I understand what is being demonstrated here and the officer very well may be 100 percent in the wrong but I would rather answer a few questions than get sprayed or taped and have my arm broken, but that's my opinion

Cops can choose when to tell you what you did wrong as long as it's during the stop, but the middle finger is protected by the first amendment and is an unlawful stop.

He is required to provide his info for a traffic stop. He could have disputed the stop afterward, but withholding your dl and registration is a legit request.

Pennsylvania V. Mimms is case law that states that you must step out of your vehicle WHENEVER law enforcement asks you to, regardless of reason. If you refuse to, they can arrest you. The cop did nothing wrong.
