ISP provided WiFi in front room. Then in dining room I have Unifi AP. Top of stairs another Unifi AP. then in my garden shed another Unifi AP. My WiFi is pretty solid. But games consoles are all wired via gbit Cisco switch

The only one Thing that is connected with WiFi is the Amazon Alexa Dot. the rest is connected with LAN. And that is great!

My router is under my TV, less than 3ft from ground. But I don't use WiFi much. My house would've needed mesh system to function well and with same money that would've costed, I build integrated CAT6 ethernet to every single room. Now here is CAT6 plugins in every room for maximum stability internet connection. Wired beats wireless almost always

Mine is under the couch. Nothing uses Wi-Fi in my apartment, everything is connected with Ethernet via a switch.

Yeah, your right about where to place it, but you were wrong about me placing it in the wrong spot... Also, my router doesn't have wifi, I have seperate APs for that.

Being a wireless engineer for over 10+ years a proper survey will tell you a lot about the environment. That’s is what is needed. Like in enterprise WiFi there are just as much obstacles and obstructions in residential. HVAC ducts running through walls, safe rooms just to name a few.

If your able to man, one of my best feiends needs help. She has been made homeless by her insurance company. They refuse to pay for all the damage done to her home. And her home is no longer safe to live in at all. It's about to fall over. This same company already made around 3,000 people in California homeless. And now they are in Maryland also. If you can take a look at the video she recorded exposing what they've done. It's the only 18 minute videos on my profile. Please share it to your profile and anyone you know. She is still looking for another job. Because all the sudden her job fired her for no reason at all. She is an electrical technician. Makes $100,000 a year and has no money at all. All the costs for lawyers, her mortgage that she still has to pay, and her entire savings depleted just in an attempt to keep the house standing after a fraudulent contractor with a fake LLC purposely destroyed the foundation of her home with jackhammer while she was sleeping at her grandmother's house. The insurance company refuses to pay, and even her mortgage company refuses to speak to her lawyer. She can't even afford food for herself.
