I’m in the same boat. I work out daily, eat healthy but my cholesterol was high. I also did research and realized how much red meat I’ve been consuming. I’m eliminating that and butter. 😭 It’s also genetic in my family too. I was confused when my results came back so high! It was like 240 I think.

my total cholesterol ia high, ldl high, and low hdl. i rarely eat red meat and my doctor is now having me to have red meat every week to increase iron a bit. plus i cant find lower fat veraions of ground beef in Spain where I love now. I’m afaid its fighting against my attempts to lower my cholesterol

Same thing happened with me. I went on a low carb diet with my husband for a yr since he was borderline pre diabetic. Because i lift weights i was trying to compensate the lack of carbs with higher protein goals. Unfortunately i hate chicken breast and salmon so i ended up eating more beef and saturated fats overall. From my recent blood work, My LDL went up to 152 but all other levels were normal including my glucose. Now i’m bringing whole grains back and trying to cut back on how frequently i eat beef, pork, and swapping more shellfish and other seafood in… fingers crossed i can lower it!
