"He was in the truck's blindspot." HE JUST FINISHED GETTING GAS?!?!?! There is no possible way for the truck to get into position to back up to the pump without seeing the bike in the first place? And if the trucker was expecting the bike to be gone by the time they backed into the spot, they should have been looking to make sure they saw him leave.
