All these people saying "We don't need God of War graphics in Pokemon" when nobody has ever said that. We just want the game to look good and run well and they can't manage that for some reason. They claim to push their console to the limits when in reality they push it past what it's capable of and sell their audience a game that barely functions. This is exactly why Scarlet and Violet are undeniably the worst games in the series in terms of optimization and still sold the most, because they know that people just want the monsters and will buy it no matter how poorly it runs.

I have never played pokemom for story, graphics or whatever. it's a creature capture/collecting game. literally their catch phrase is "gotta catch em all". I play to catch them all.

I generally don't mind how the game looks. it's a cartoony game for kids. I'm not after graphics. I do want optimisation though. Pokemon scarlet and violet came out as such a mess

Enjoy what you want but not critically analyzing your own loves is a bias that you should keep to yourself. The games are not built well and have been slop without considering graphics and bugs. They can do better but you people who throat them for existing are the reason they won't do better. Stop giving excuses to awful companies because you're blinded by nostalgia.
