I am a workaholic and bosses know my type. I used to do the work of 2-3 people and get paid a so so salary. After 10 years I quit. This is def my fault as every job I’ve been at it’s been this way. I go overboard with the work and the employer thinks I can handle the work load. At the end of my last year we had metrics and I followed them to a T and they found that I was over burdened. I (We) had mentioned this to my sups many many times but it never got better.

I seriously can do 100% of my work, have it be absolutely perfect in just a few hours bc I hyper focus and won’t stop. But if I will take a full work day to do it instead bc my reward would be more work.

I wish! the concept is absolutely what we need - but society has made us drones that they want to control. how could we possibly change it when the majority of businesses never accept this type of change.

I’m so grateful my Boss is like this. I’m working there for 8 years being fully remote in the past 2. I’m happy she is happy. I hope I can stay here till my retirement !!!

This statement is so true. My boss does not micromanage us and we all work hard. If we are on vacation, or have a day off we will respond to emails or answer phone calls.

I'm at work every day and I'm early to work every day, and sometimes i even work through my lunch hour. But lately I'm being micromanaged and I'm suddenly unhappy at my job. I'm 62 and I'm retiring at the end of this year, but I feel like I'm being mistreated.

I tried this never worked! Some people need structure and some people need routine! Unfortunately, some people even need my management! Retreat them like adults, but sometimes we get taken advantage of!
