I love this. I was recently journaling some thoughts about modern day religion - we have similar stories in terms of reasons for leaving the church, and I was getting stuck on how Jesus (the physical embodiment of God) was this accepting, arms wide open person, yet God is this damning judge, and I’m curious where the disconnect began. I genuinely feel the Bible was altered to fit this narrative of fear.
