The river flows right over these wide rock shelves, so you can sit in the current or stretch out and let the water pass around you. There’s a small sandy area where people set up towels or chairs, and across the water, the old mill ruins add a whole other vibe — a reminder this place has been part of people’s summers for generations. It does get crowded on weekends, so go early if you want a quieter experience. And don’t forget: no lifeguards, no trash cans — so pack in, pack out. Definitely not your average park.
