@carolinescozycorner: Last week my home was exceptionally tidy and it stay that way and here’s what I noticed really works to keep your house put together that isn’t a cleaning schedule bc I am simply not wired that way: 1. Have people over regularly— The times I’m home, I’m either cleaning or enjoying my rent with people I love. Whether it be having a couple over for dinner on a weeknight, having a friend over for coffee, or meeting someone at my house to go on a walk, I like to have my house tidy. I pray I can have an inviting, warm home that makes people feel at peace so I keep it clean, turn on my diffuser, put a lil art on the tv, and switch on all the lamps. We usually have people over 3-5 times a week and so I have no choice but to keep it rather clean/picked up! Also there’s no speed clean like “they’ll be here in 10 minutes” clean hahaha 2. Get out of the house— Okay this one sounds a little silly but simply if you’re not home to make a mess, your house won’t be a mess. I try and get out at least once a day for my mental health as a sahm and it works out quite nicely to keep my home clean :)) 3. Downsize or own less— We live in a 1000sq ft home which is more than enough room for my family of three + a dog. We have to be really intentional about what items we bring into the home because there’s less space to fill.
