For me it's different, it's generally always correct the first time But it still does not fit for some reason. When I turn it once it's wrong and does not fit either, turning it then again for my third attempt makes it work directly...

People don’t understand statistics. 50/50 means each time. The statistics don’t carry over to the next time. So 50/50 resets each time meaning you could theoretically get it wrong every single time

USB-a connectors are in a quantum super-position where they are both the correct way, and the wrong way until one actually observes the orientation both the cable and the port, at which point the wave function collapses and the port may be plugged in.

A USB stick has 3 sides. Wrong side, so you flip it. Wrong side again, so you flip it yet again. Good side, it goes in now.
