Babe it’s okay if you need to rehome them. You’re not having a small allergic reaction to them. An allergy specialist is going to tell you to get rid of the cats as well. Sometimes exposure to mild allergens can make them get worse and that seems to be the case with you. I’m normally meh about people getting pets and rehoming them but this is a valid reason. You can try lots of sweeping and vacuuming and having your husband bath them every few weeks and see if that helps but an allergist is likely going to prescribe cetrezine which is literally zirtec

Air purifiers everywhere, Benadryl if needed, cetrizine and famotidine once a day, get kittens used to baths, they have allergy wash you can use for cats, vacuum, deshed them everyday, get a wet vacuum if you have carpet
