Hope For Zimbabwe Children help abandoned street children in Chiredzi , Zimbabwe. 27 January 2024. Hope For Zimbabwe Children (HFZC) volunteers alongside HFZC founder affectionately known as Sisi Vee came across four abandoned street children (boys) picking up food from the bins outside a Chicken Inn outlet in Chiredzi central business district.This happened whilst the HFZC team was having lunch at the same outlet and the founder called the children in and bought them lunch comprising of 1 piecer chicken and medium chips worth us$12 for four and 4 ice creams worth us$4. Cash was also donated.The four boys are , 1.Defeat Tasengera fifteen (15) years. 2.Tinotenda Mukakanyari fourteen (14 ) years. 3.Collins Tasengera eleven (11) years. 4.Done Tasengera seven (7 ) years. *Family Background* Defeat, Collins and Done are biological brothers sharing the same father and mother whilst Tinotenda shares only the same mother with the other boys.Defeat, Collins and Done 's father is Chishamiso Tasengera aged 43 years and their mother is Valeria Madhara aged 37 years. Valeria also mothered Tinotenda Mukakanyari with another man named Nobert Mukakanyari who is late.Chishamiso Tasengera and Valeria Madhara separated after Valeria was caught red handed by her husband having an adulterous affair with another man and she then eloped with the adulterer to Zaka and left the four boys in the care of their father Chishamiso Tasengera. The children told HFZC that their father, Tasengera then left the boys alone and went to Nyanyadz to visit his mother to narrate his ordeal and left the boys at his longings in Chiredzi. When rent was due and Tasengera still had not yet returned, the landlord of the house threw the furniture and clothes outside and evicted the boys off the premise.According to Defeat, a certain friend of their father took their furniture for safe keeping at his house but could not accommodate the boys.From then on Defeat and his brothers are living on the streets of Chiredzi CBD.They have no other relatives to assist them and they have lost touch with their parents hence they are now permanently staying on the streets, sleeping rough and eating from bins. *Economic Background* These four boys have noone who looks after them so they are literally living off the bins. *Health Challenges* 1.Defeat Tasengera said he suffers from chest pains since the year 2019.He said he was involved in a car accident where he was knocked by a car in Chiredzi. He said he has not received any medical help. 2 Done Tasengera said he suffers from constant headaches, stomach cramps and chest pains. He said he was not feeling well for the past few days due to an infection. 3.Collins Tasengera said he suffers from constant sore throat that sometimes makes it difficult for him to swallow food.He has been having this problem for the past 2 years and he has not received any form of treatment. 4.Tinotenda Mukakanyari suffers from a recurrent headache and he was not feeling well on the day we met. *Social Challenges* These boys are exposed to dangerous substances and other dangers since they are living on the streets. Abuse is rampant amongst children living on the streets and they face health risks as well. 5.*Accommodation* Defeat, Collins, Done and Tinotenda have no accommodation and are roaming the streets by day and sleeping at the back of a car wash with no blankets at night . *Education* These boys are at school going age but are not attending school because they have noone to care for them and assist them with daily and educational needs. *Assistance* The boys need assistance with accommodation, food, clothing, education and health care in a home environment.Hope for Zimbabwe Children promised to help them further if need be as soon as the orphanage we are building in Checheche is ready to take in children in need. #hopeforzimbabwechildren #streetkids #streetchildren #abandoned #shelter #donate #help #goodfood #orphans #childreninneed #charitywork #donate #fundraising
