Patti drama aside, I have always preferred Glenn over Patti in Sunset Blvd. I’ve never understood the hate towards Glenn in the role when her performance is what elevated the material. I remember I accidentally listened to the Patti cast recording of sunset and not liking it nearly as much. I didn’t feel anything, she was just loud like she is in most roles she plays. Glenn made me feel pity, fear, tension, and so much more in her phenomenal Tony earning performance. Since Nicole is the only one to make me feel that way about Sunset Blvd. Off topic I know but felt seen when Sweaty said what needed to be said about Patti in sunset.

I will die on the hill that Patti should have done Sunset. I saw Glenn and although her acting was excellent, her vocals in the songs that are crucial to character and plot development were weak.

I’m still wondering what happened to change Patti’s perception of Audra- she speaks highly of her in her autobiography and they’ve worked together a lot but now Patti is saying they are no longer friends- I saw her mention it in another semi recent interview before this new one and I was like wtf what happened I wonder if it has something to do with Audra being in Gypsy I’m just speculating it could be any reason and Audra said that she doesn’t think there’s anything bad between them so maybe it’s just some random grudge Patti has
