Dogs have to learn how to play. They don’t just know what toys are. My one dog had to teach my other how to play with toys.

They said it takes three full months for rescue dogs to feel safe and like they’re “home.” So their personality won’t fully come out until at least then! Give him time🖤 But also if you don’t feel it, don’t force it.

Dogs need 3-6 months to adjust to new environments. Give him time to come out of his shell before you make a decision so if you do decide to put him up for adoption his new owners can see his true personality & he doesn’t get tossed from home to home.

My foster didn’t want to play with toys or run or anything for at least a month. She now gets the zoomies and LOVES her toys. Give him some more time!

Give him time to warm up to the environment. He is probably a little traumatized from all the moving, vet, etc.

Coming from a Vet-Tech, he may play one day! Sometimes it takes dogs 2-3 months to be completely comfortable in a new home, and being this would be his 3rd home he may just need a little more time! I know you’ll do whatever feels best and you are amazing for loving him and getting him proper care!!🫶🏼🩵

We had a Boxer we adopted that didn't know how to play either. Give him 3 months...you will see a totally different dog. 🐾

Do what’s best for your family for sure! I jist want to add that I rescued a 2 year old dachshund as a friend for my other dog and it took her about 4 months to get comfortable enough to play. A year in, they play together ALL DAY

Please give Mr beanie a chance to trust and get comfy. It took my rescue 6-8 months to even start to act like a dog. Be patient a silly baby doggo is in there somewhere 💕

when we got our first dog she did not play. She took a few months to adjust. Than we tried a lot of different toys. We got a puppy to cope with her separation anxiety. It also took some time to adjust but once she felt like she wasn’t going to have to leave homes again she started gravitating toward lambchop the toy and our puppy like the hard chew toys. He may just need time to feel like he’s not going to have to leave again.
