No one is watching those shows anymore. He got paid too much. And the show lost too much money. The math is mathing

All this handwringing yet he gets to stay on til spring? If he is as popular as people seem to think, he can instantly go to YouTube ala Rogan and make more and be seen by whomever wants and he can say what he wants? How is this a thing ?

It doesn’t matter if it’s the number one show still loses money everybody keeps saying it’s the number one show number one show, but if it doesn’t bring in money and they lose money then why keep it on the air. I think people don’t understand that the math doesn’t math the way that they think they think by taking the show off the air Paramount will now net $40 million a year

Letterman and Carson could insult their bosses but they made their bosses tons of money. Colbert loses his bosses Money. You can’t insult your boss when you lose them $40 million a year

I'll be honest I forgot he even existed. He has been that inconsequential for that long.

He’ll get a cable network show or he’ll get HBO or he will do TikTok. There’s no reason to worry about him. They’ll be fine.

One question is why they announced it now instead of much later. Like did they want half a year of complaining about the cancellation?

It’s just wild that they aren’t going to try again with the Late Show, with you know, less than 200 staffers.

It was inevitable, late night talk shows are a dying breed and 10 years from now they probably won't be no late night TV

What fans? And what job can you insult your employer, throw insults and have terrible performance ratings and then be shocked that you get fired? Wasn’t he at one point a comedian. You should try being funny again and not polarizing America.

It’s a show that loses money. That is not a formula that works….
