not necessarily. i label myself as bi with a predominant attraction to men but i also use the term “sapiosexual.” when i run into stupid men like this, i either just start ignoring them/block them or start cussing them out or taking the piss outta them. i still love men though 🤷🏿♂️just not the dumb ones

As a Lesbian I feel like you’re kinda viewing Lesbianism/Sexuality in a political/feminist viewpoint. I agree that being in a heterosexual relationship under patriarchy requires Women to tolerate some level of Misogyny, but not wanting to tolerate Misogyny in your relationships does not make you gay. It’s actually a very common feeling that most Feminist non-Lesbian women experience, called heteropessimism. It’s why some Gen Z women are proudly becoming celibate. Additionally, women regardless of sexuality are also misogynistic. I’m not trying to police your sexuality or tell your wrong, Your feelings are very valid. I just think it’s important to avoid leaning into political lesbianism (The idea that Lesbianism is a feminist choice). Regardless of sexuality you don’t have to date men if you don’t want to. And if you want to date men, keep your standards high. Keep your standards high regardless of who you date.

Honestly, no. Not wanting to handle misogyny/bigotry doesn’t make you lesbian. You have a standard of self worth that most men haven’t been able to withstand and respect. But that doesn’t always alter how a person is attracted to men as a whole. As a lesbian, the first (and last) time i ever had a crush on a guy was back in elementary school, and that was only because he wasn’t introduced to misogyny early on. But even back then, i had to realize that respect was the BARE minimum, and that respect should be able to come from anyone that i liked. I was able to relate to women more because of similar experiences, similar standards, etc, and at some point came to the realization that i literally could not see myself being with a man, even with the knowledge of knowing that not every man is a raging misogynist. So maybe it kinda depends on how you view yourself with men. Like if a man could at least meet that standard you’ve set, could you see yourself giving him a chance? And even if you could, don’t feel pressured into identifying as any specific labels (Sorry it’s alot to read 🙏🏾)
