@teganrandolph: i promise people who want 9 conference games for the SEC do not know what they are askin for #cfb #cfb25 #cfb26 #football #CollegeFootball #fyp
9 conference games mean nothing when half the conference is uncompetitive

It’s not really about the depth of the conference. When you play an extra conference game half of the conference has to pick up a loss. It inflates the records of the SEC

I want to know the ONLY 4 or 5 in the B1G that “could” make the playoffs? Penn State, Oregon, Ohio State, Illinois, Indiana, and Michigan all will start the yr somewhere near the top 20. That’s 6 right there. I would make an argument that Nebraska (with their favorable schedule), USC, Washington, and Iowa have “realistic” paths

No it mainly stems from the SEC only playing 8 games. Big 10 sets them up for failure playing 9 conference games & another hard game.

The B1G went 6-4 against the sec last season just saying. Illinois and USC got 3 of those wins and would definitely be tier 2 currently. USC last season was probably tier 3. Michigan is tier 1 but last season no and they beat bama so

SEC weak the tier 2 of BIG10 already dominated the SEC in the bowl graves

Also anybody talking about bowl game matchups for which conference is better needs to remember the transfer window opens like December 1st. Bowls are largely useless metrics now

Ole Miss with 8 P4 games in '25 doesn't seem like there is an SEC mandate for 9 P4 games to me.
Who plays Mercer or Chattanooga Seminary for the Blind in mid Nov this season?

B1G has the most wealth better academics, stricter admissions. It’s also the historically more significant conference. The SEC has followed the B1G throughout its history. SEC athletics are superior but barely. The B1G is overall the better conference. The metrics prove it. Just sayin. 😀

dude our tier two illinois beat south Carolina. and Michigan normally tier 1 but definitely tier 2 last year bear alabama who is normally tier 1 but might have been tier two last year. the SEC and Big ten are neck and neck im so tired of the argument of SEC being better top to bottom cause its not true

I think not counting how weird last year was for the SEC, the point was that the tier 2 in the SEC was not a party to that good scheduling. Think of Indiana as the B1Gs Mizzou. They’re ranked, you know they shouldn’t be, they haven’t played or beaten anyone that says they should be and yet the 1-2 top tier SEC teams lucky enough to have them on their schedule that year are likely getting a ranked matchup victory. Indiana is trying to be that.

You're about to be blocked. Aswer my question. Who besides Georgia, Alabama, and LSU has done anything in recent memory? Who are the SECs "elite" tier 2?

The big10 fucked themselves for 2 decades requiring a non conference p5 opponent while the SEC artificially inflated its SOS with an extra win each season against nobodies and 8 conf games. Now the big 10 is doing it back and everyone can pay players... and the SEC is getting exposed
