The reason why creoles perserve the object form over the subject form is because its the least marked of the other in English. But other languages shows different patterns

Tbh I think words like “series” would remain as series because they are the same in both languages, tv series = series de tv, in this case the “simplification” is actually more complex.

This is a fun idea. My L1 is an English based creole, and while the simplification and frequency points hold, we also have made some infrequent words frequent. Best example I can think of is the word “gallivant(ing)” being a super commonly used word for us.
