if it makes you feel better my mom still sucks her thumb and she's 50. she usually only does it watching TV at night or if she gets woken up too early. but I honestly didn't think it wasn't normal bc she did it as long as I can remember

i was 8 and i had to get rid of it because it gave me buck teeth but it was like raw not step by step like i got home from the dentist telling me to stop using it to my mom cutting it and just let me cry cuz i didn’t have it for a few nights 😓

i also used a pacifier way too long. I don't recall the exact age but I remember being in elementary school using it. I'm also a recovering addict as well so that makes sense. one day I just threw it out and never used it again.

when I was 16, I got a lot of anxiety. I started using pacifiers and hugging stuffed animals and helped me A LOT. It's not wrong to use it for that long if it's useful or important for you ngl

If you still wanna use a pacifier, Tommy tippy makes some that are meant for 18 to 36 month. It’s the kind that I use either that or mam 16+ month.
