i am a retired brickmason. He couldn't work for me. Insufficient mud on the head joints. Resulting in many beeholes. Water can infiltrate causing structure weakness. Advice is the mud that is scraped from the bed joint should be applied to the head joint in one fluid motion. Resulting in faster brick laying more structural integrity and not having to patch all the beeholes. Practice makes perfect. Learned from old old school bricklayer, my Dad. Thank you
