Girl, when you print something, save it. Do it for your future self. Every time. ❤️

I have a folder for each quarter. Makes it a little broader catch all. 🤣

The desktop background on my school computer is still a calendar from September 2023. The last time I had my life together. 😂

My desk is clean the last week of school and the first week of school. I am fine with the organized chaos on my desk!

That’s interesting, because I always start out so strong and then my Nov-Feb is patchy, at best. Having a shared prep with certain people makes me very organized, but not everyone…

Oh honey - make a slides presentation for each unit, one slide a day, and hyperlink the things for that day on it for yourself. When I online taught during Covid it was projected when the kids signed in with “what to expect” at the top. Then I know what I did for each day the next year and it’s conveniently linked for future self 😘

I just make year folders and put everything in there. Then in my daily slides I link the assignments. Nothing is done by standard or assignment lol. Just Unit 1 week 1 Fall 25 etc. then everything is just in that slide show.

I’ve never pretended to want to keep my Google drive organized.

I save my stuff by topic and I get the same false sense of hope! Some folders are amazing! Others are empty.

Been there. Instead of folders this is what I did and it helped a lot. Before the semester even starts create a single Google Doc for one class. Type the units out like a table of contents. Every time you go to pull up a presentation, document, etc. before a class, type a short bullet point under the unit you’re on, doesn’t have to be crazy can be “reading activity 1.” Highlight it and click ctrl+k and hyperlink the Google doc you’re using to that bullet point. Just get in the habit every time you open a doc hyperlink it in to that one document. Then, when the semester is ending and exams are starting go through and clean it up a little and there you go. It’s all on one page instead of a million folders. It seems like a lot up front but having to search and recreate everything over again is too. had to do this bc of maternity leave but I’m glad I did.
