Doing my PhD in the US and started last year before the election. My degree is in toxicology and our grant was cancelled because it promoted “environmental justice”, i.e. helping the populations that are most at risk. You can’t convince me that doesn’t matter

Uni of Edinburgh? I’m applying for their MBA once I finish my MS. I wanted to do their data ethics pgcert bc I like the topic but the Sept only admissions don’t work for my schedule. Enjoy! Edinburgh is beautiful and the school is great.

Congratulations, I’m excited to see your work! We need more people studying AI ethics. I’m in a PhD program in NLP and the funding isn’t secure for us either and they are obsessed with NLP right nos! I’ve told people that support cutting NSF funding about my research and how my govt funding hasn’t been renewed and they got confused because my research is “useful”. Doesn’t matter if they consider it “real” or not they just hate science and any cuts to funding hurt all of us!
