Before we look at cameras what’s your budget? What lenses do you have? A lot of people are giving you recommendations but knowing your budget and what lenses you have will be a the first step.

Get either a R50 or a Mark ii and get a lens depending on what you shoot

What’s your budget? Do you want to go full frame? It’s not worth getting that repaired at all.

Upgrade! That camera has fought the good fight and kept the faith. Now you need a new machine for the road.

T7i shooter here! Sorry that happened to you. My step up from the T7i was the R8. The issue with going mirrorless is you’ll have to get the EF to RF adapter in order to use the lenses you already have, which will add a bit of bulk. I don’t advise against going mirrorless, just wanted to make that known. If you dont want the adapter route, stick with a DSLR. As for a recommendation, the 80D & 90D are great beginner-ish DSLRs that bridge the gap between Rebels and “professional” DSLRs. Mirrorless cameras are much smaller and easier for selfies, but you’ll end up starting the lens journey over.

I just upgraded from my rebel T6 to the R10, got an adapter on Amazon for my 50mm lens for like $40. The R10 is AMAZING. It’s SO fast, so smart, face+eye tracking. Months of research on my end. If you don’t want to make that price jump go with the R50!! I hear is amazing but the R10 takes the cake.

I would go with the Canon R or RP. Used can get em cheap. Full frame, mirrorless (what you see in the viewfinder is what you get), affordable and very close in image quality as R4 and R5. Peep YT comparisons.

follow your lenses. stay with Canon and just upgrade the body. I have been with Sony since they were Minolta. The reason I stayed was because of all of my glass.

For the money the R6 mark II. Is the way to go. The R5 mark II if you can’t afford it. Worth the money.

Honestly, bang for your buck, get the rp. Full frame, great start up for mirrorless.

No upgrade and get a new one. If you can upgrade to a full frame camera you’ll notice and and love the quality difference.

Aye you from Rochester!? I would recommend the Canon m50. Solid beginner camera for photography. EF mount, mirrorless, cropped sensor 👌🏾
