I don't see this as offensive in any way. kpop is a phenomenon that is massive right now. it is more than just for women. kpop demon hunters proved that. also every women in my friend group immediately went wild when I mentioned kpop mtg. I think sometimes people just look for stuff to be offended by.

Women should be able to play and a lot of things do need to be changed. The judges need to bv trained instead of being handed garbage and following those rules given. The game has left the vision of Richard Garfield from being a game of fun to a cash grab.

I don't get the frustration tbh. And I know I'm a guy so maybe I'm biased. but if you look at hard data Kpop fans are majority female. Appealing to a large female audience base doesn't seem bad to me 🤷♂️

WOTC had a poll a year ago, the last question asked is what IP would you like to see come to Universes Beyond. My wife who plays MTG asked for Kpop. Clearly she wasn't alone. WOTC is actually listening to their female player base, we should celebrate that.

Oh no the minute I read THAT, it was glaringly clear they don’t know why women actually play magic. Don’t pander to the gender, support the community and continue making mechanically deep and lore rich standard sets in universe.

the problem is the player base. I recently got fussed at for taking out a player when he thought the threat was someone else. not realizing I had the hand and the board state to handle EVERYONE and I did. he pitched a hissy fit for the rest of the night. the shop owner and the other players tore him a new one. I would love to see more themes like bloom burrow, eldraine and ixalan. More themes focused on other mythology.

I saw that and was like wow. im not a women but more so I've seen some interactions go on. I believe they need to implement the smell situation for any official tournament. Also msrp pricing for wpn stores need to be enforced for a month.

they had a line of starter commander decks that I thought were great for learning and it's strange they wouldn't do another round of those... the game has made major changes in just the last couple years and these should reflect what's new 🤔

Judges do have to go through training. it's just not sponsored by WOTC anymore because they were tired of people becoming judges for the promos.

As a 25 year female mtg player, I felt so uncomfortable at a cEDH event recently where two other males in the pod got really combative with each other, especially one in particular, and it was so hostile and inappropriate and made me feel super uncomfortable.

women between 25 and 35 have more financial knowledge and wherewithal that with the proper marketing, lgs's and the gaming industry overall would benefit from listening to them. I dont run a store, but when I did run commander noghts and prerelease noghts at a store, I would make sure women were welcome and safe, if someone was an issue with women in my store, they were asked to leave. women with the financial knowledge and everything will spend a lot of money in a store if they feel welcome.... period.

Wotc and hasbro have been fumbling with mtg and dnd for awhile now. Like, for god sake, they sent the Pinkertons after a customer for sending them product that wasn’t out. Not to mention the ogl scandal with dnd. They just need to take a step back and reflect wtf they’re doing with these companies.
