Xavier is only “soft and sweet” to MC. Nothing about him is soft and sweet beyond MC. He’s suffered through watching MC pass away twice, he has never once given a TRUE chance to love her in a romantic way— this current timeline is his first (and possibly king xavier)— but he’s truly the most dangerous one out of all of them. His morals don’t have bounds when it comes to MC’s safety, he has shown that he, WITHOUT hesitation, will slaughter anyone if he views them as a threat to MC. He’s labeled as a TRAITOR to an entire planet, he KNOWS his people are turning into wanderers and their sanities are derailing but refuses to act on saving them even though he knows he can— he won’t because it’s at the expense of MC. He’s been on demon time for her this isn’t even half of it 😭

i’m surprised some people don’t like him as darknight!! he has never been afraid of sacrificing everyone and everything in order to keep mc alive and well (though i think he’s good at hiding and controlling it). he’s very soft and gentle around mc, but around threats, he’s brutal. i’m pretty sure in no restraint, he told a guy that he’d hang them from the 50th floor of a building in order to get the protocore mc was searching for 😭

People cant reconcile a dark xavier although its canon because they can’t get over their headcanons about him. Theyve been tricked, told and convinced that Xavier is “soft” so that’s hard to reconcile in their minds

Also, I don’t know why infold keeps doing this but they hid MAJOR (myth related) Xavier lore in his Unicorn Mission. Some that even puts a lot of popular theories into question or even makes them inaccurate. I finished it when it dropped 100% 😭

A myth centered around death and Xavier being the harbinger of death and destruction fits so well with the fact that he sacrificed his literal whole planet for her (mind you, a planet that uses people to fuel its core and as Xavier says himself, does not deserve to be saved) he’s silly and playful with MC at times but his whole life is shrouded in death and violence

Far FAR FAR too many kindled only players. Theres no world where you can interact with this man beyond kindles and still think hes just a snuggly little bunny. Even in main story we see him pull his sword on us until he realizes its us and we also see him getting into it in alleyways and hes in a shady bar MC is in. He helps us get into the N109 zone for heavens sake! And that just the tip of the iceburg in the main story alone, let alone his cards. Even his Lumiere card and this nocturnal hunt card, in the latter he pulls the same "Who?!" as he does in the main story. He's very similar to Raf, he doesnt value anyone elses life compared to MCs, and while he frequently plays the hero and does kind things, if it was between anything and MC, hes picking MC. The train track dilemma except he doesnt hesitate at all.

AND just because he’s this dark inside wolf in sheep’s clothing character, it DOES NOT invalidate the fact that he WANTS to be soft with MC. He enjoys being that soft squishy lovable guy with her. It’s not a full facade. It’s who he wants to be able to be, but the world is too dark for that and he’s chosen to be dark enough to protect her no matter what

This! I've seen a few posts about how Infold changed Xavier and made his myth too emo & dark. Those posts were from Xavier mains, I'm not even a Xavier main and even I know Xavier is not just a cute sleepy sunshine rabbit.

I am a Starfish so he’s one of my mains. The reason I fell for him is because I learned he had this darker side. I was like hold on he’s really interesting and unique. Seeing him as the darknight doesn’t surprise me at all. I’ve seen that side of him watching his spicy cards and others. Nocturnal Hunt really showed this darker side to him as well. A lighter or softer story would have been boring tbh, so glad the angel rumors were wrong.

Xavier probably has the highest kill count out of all the Li’s so idk where we are getting the soft persona from….it would not make sense for his myth to angelic or soft as his backstory is anything but that. His planet was fueled by MC’s death for so many years so I’m sure upon him finding this out this information when he went to starfall forest he made it his life goal to find all possible means to protect her. I’m glad they went with the theme that they did as it shows us a side to Xavier we have yet to fully uncover.

I remember when Caleb's myth released and the event to unlocked planets was pastel colors... I still can't believe how so many people were mad saying that those were "Xavier's colors and aesthetic", literally gatekeeping pastels and white and if out space themes weren't also in Caleb's story. I'm glad to see the black outfit is Xavier's default now, so people can chill a little.
