It's genetic and a big reason why doctors say that every pregnancy/postpartum is different! I breastfed for maybe a month with my oldest 2 (twins) and stopped and my period never came back! 7 years and 5 more kids later I still don't get my period.. (ovulate like crazy though 🤣) it's honestly so wild what the human body can do. My sister has 2 kids and breastfed exclusively, after her first it was about a year till her period came back, with her second it was around 6 months! 😊

9m postpartum for both babies. It started when I stopped pumping/nursing as much because of prolactin levels declining!

I had a really busy week 9 months post partum where I couldn’t nurse/pump as much as usual and I got my period the week after. I still had a supply I had to build it back up but literally 1 busy week where I had to slow down I think caused my periods to come back

I got my period back at 4 and a half weeks pp after I had stopped bleeding at 3 and a half weeks pp so I don’t have any tips on getting your period back after that long! 🫶🏻
