A girl in my Intro to Fashion class had a massive car wreck and missed a week. She returned in a wheelchair. Professor wouldn’t let her in because she had violated her attendance policy. She said, “Let this be a life lesson. Not everything can be an excuse.” Same lady who accused me of lying about losing two relatives in one semester because “That sounds a little TOO convenient to me.” 😳

Both my maternal grandparents died my Junior year of college within 4 days of each other and my ART teacher asked for a program from the second funeral. I brought it and she regretted asking for it.

As a 100 level instructor, this level of cruelty appalls me. It's like these professors have forgotten that students are human while also on a power trip. Compassion and boundaries can coexist, despite what they might believe, and students thrive when they arent treated this way.

My daughter had her gallbladder (emergency surgery) out on a Wed. 1st year of college. Professor- your make up on Sat. Nurses and Dr were ready to go to the college to fight for her.

I once had a prof in a class designed for freshmen tell us that we lost points if we were a minute late even if she hadnt started. The following sem I missed a week for the flu and my upper level prof excused it all and sent me the notes.

My house was flooding from a storm I sent my professor a video from the second floor of water coming in and he said that wasn’t an excuse 😭😐

I was taking an upper level class while a 100 level class one semester and it had the same professor and I was doing better in the upper level and he scheduled a meeting to help me word a thesis so his aide would grade it better 😂.

I pray that I never have a professor like this because I might actually crash out on them because they are playing with my grade, my time, my money, my energy, and my feelings and I would hate to go to jail over someone who has nothing better to do than make someone’s life miserable.
