My breathing hitches, I get uncomfortable. But while raising my kids, everytime something spills or worse, I tell *myself* ‘no one’s yelling’. Thanks. That helps loads.

these videos helped me last night. I had honey boil over on my stove and was easily able to tell myself it's only a mess that I can clean up. past family trauma is a bitch

if you pick that up to drink it while it's full like that, i will cry. you better bend down to drink it so its less full first.

I used to reserve my harshest words for myself. Two days ago, I flooded the kitchen in my new apartment while doing too much at once. instead of panic and anger, I was shocked when my reaction was to calmly walk over, turn off the water, and get a bucket and mop. Just a few months ago, I would have been sick with myself over it for days. thank you for making the content that you do, from a woman it has truly helped!

That triggered me more than the glass smashing, or spilling coffee on the floor and I don’t know why! Is the idea of this to continuously make deliberate mistakes until it doesn’t bother you anymore?
