the biggest reason why mega dragonite doesnt work is that dragonite ITSELF doesnt work. people rattle on about "heh dragonite is masterful design because it disrupts your expectations !" as if its a nuanced take. just take ochams razor and say Hey dragonite sucks because it loses everything dratini built up. notice other mega evolutions you mention: charizard, sableye, absol. also notice how these pokemon are adored by a majority of pokemon fans. this is why the mega evolutions work for them ! i dont care for feraligator. i dont care for skarmory. both of them are boring and boring and boring for me. their mega evolutions take that boring and add a few new details. its still going to be boring and unlikeable ! Does It Make Sense When I Say This. imagine im knocking on your forehead with each word right now. Does It Make Sense
