If you base coat any gold area you want with brown like a medium brown color and then dry brush gold over it it looks amazing. Works well with a lot of metal colors

i honestly have no clue how you did that with those nails cause uhhh whenever i paint it ends up all over my hands and fingernails and messes up my nails every time

Definitely like dry brushing. Something about it gives it a nice worn look that I just love and it's super forgiving. I would also recommend if you messed up, strip the paint using 99% rubbing alcohol. Let it sit for a few minutes and the paint should come right off but leave the primer intact

are you using acrylic paint or oil paint? I've only ever used acrylic but I hear that oil doesn't work as well
