He’s right we would let it go. We would not retaliate with nuclear weapons. There’s plenty of other ways to retaliate, but we would not launch a nuclear strike against Russia nor would anyone else we would let Ukraine be destroyed before risking the destruction of civilization as we know it.

Russia can use Hypersonic missles. They can destroy Kiev or that ever they shoot at. No existing system can stop hypersonic missles. Also, hypersonic weapons are “Conventional”. Not nuclear. So if we have nothing to stop them, and nothing to retaliate within the “conventional” weapons category, we are left with firing Nuclear weapons against conventional .

dictator that is what is wrong with the west , the dictators are the ones who make sanctions wanting to control someone else country . why can I buy or trade with another country just because you and them don't agree. the USA have army bases all around the world , why . if I stay home I don't get in trouble but there are all over and trouble is everywhere.

Profesor is right here. The USA, UK or France have no obligation to defend Ukraine and WOULD NOT risk their own survival and launch nukes at Russia if they nuke Ukraine. Whoever thinks they would is childish.

Nato would respond with a huge conventional response, it would also be supported by China, Putin is under strict instruction from China not to use nukes under any circumstances. Putin would have to dissappear to a bunker, the second he put his head out he would be dead! Piers is wrong on this!
