The way Kevin wanted attention ANY KIND was bc his mother wouldn’t give any genuine reaction to anything he ever did, and he got more bitter bc his sister was born and his mom was completely different towards her in every sense, so yea. I 100% think it was the moms fault

i loved the movie. it really wasn’t a portrayal of kevin’s descent into evil but rather his mother’s psyche unraveling in response to guilt and ostracism. and if the camera is her psyche, then “kevin the villain” is also Eva’s defensive narrative a way to stabilize guilt by locating evil in a single body. he’s the container for everything she can’t integrate. nature vs. nurture talk topic in this movie is so well documented
