There is a book titled War Against Puerto Ricans it’s a deep read. Also the Jones Act prevents us from importing and exporting to other countries resulting in high prices in food. Also the US imports avocados from Mexico, DR, and other places but not PR why? PR used to have large dairy farms, pharmaceutical companies, sugar cane fields and coffee that could have been exported but wasn’t. The tax breaks given to Americans doesn’t help. The PR government is also so corrupt and this was shown during Maria. PR needs to increase their agriculture in order to become independent

The truth is all the islands were up for grabs after the Spanish American war, Russia got Cuba the USA got PR , Jamaica went to Britain, DR was sheared by the USA and Britain and so one. PR got the better end of all the islands in the Caribbean. Facts

Yes all of this is true but we need help against our own government who are trapping us in debt and poverty selling our land for cheap to the rich and privileged. The power and phone companies have us by our throats! Our new governor is a woman who has never accomplished anything positive for our island and during our worst hurricane she propagandized for her political campaign. The island has been weakened to the core and there’s no sign of progress. 💔
