I think it’s important we establish what both terms are because some see gentrification as a good thing and that they are helping a “poor neighborhood” but in reality they are helping to erode a community and culture for that specific area. Gentrification: the process of wealthier people moving into traditionally lower-income neighborhoods, is often problematic due to its potential to displace longtime residents and erode the existing community's social and cultural fabric and COLONIZATION : an act or instance of colonizing: such as a : the establishing of a colony (see COLONY sense 1) : subjugation of a people or area especially as an extension of state power

It’s actually GVIs fault, the Governor can limit airb&b rentals to only units that have a full time owner present. Just like other jurisdictions have done. Plus increase the minimum wage. We have billions of dollars in Federal funds being squandered or not spent.
