My husband and I have 4 kids. 5 and under. With the first, I certainly expected Nate to wake up with the baby and selfishly thought I was entitled to more sleep because I was also working. I didn’t have the proper mindset that HE was doing so much for our family already by waking up earlier than me and driving further way to work, and coming home later. Was I burnt out? Yes. Did I take it out on him? Yes. Was he supposed to be doing all the waking up? Absolutely no!

so strange. I have 2 kids both of them I got up and did all the night feeds and looked after them majority of the time because the dad was providing for us all. it's whatever works for you and your family

it's called being a stay at home mom!! I took care of both my kids. he worked and on the weekends spent time with the kids. why are people having a hard time with this!!

Both parents can’t be equal when income in involved. One has to work the most and one has to do the majority of the parenting because both can’t do 50/50 otherwise it wouldn’t work. Why are people so bothered by how you both live your life? It’s your first baby - you’ll work it how it works best for you 💖

Honestly I have 5 children two in which were twins. My husband never got up with the babies at night. I didnt want him to. I enjoyed getting up when the house was quiet and asking care if my babies. obviously if I ever needed anything he would have jumped right in during the night. I just wanted him to sleep so he was rested for work. I dont know. everyone does things differently I guess. My husband still slept in the same room though.
