Whooooo buddy! Those early days were just awful 😳 My toddler had just come out of 14 months of chemo & had zero immune system. Husband has severe asthma. We were on 100% isolation for over a year wiping down allllllll the groceries

The deaths you saw thought gave perfect reasons to feel this way.

I can’t imagine what it was like for y’all. A lot of the funeral homes in the city here got overwhelmed and some got closed for accepting too many bodies and not getting help. I mean they kept bodies in refrigerated semi reefers for so long! So sad for the victims of Covid and their families. Hope we never have to experience that again! My hubby almost died but he pulled thru thank god

Trying to explain the anxiety I felt at the time to my family was half the battle 🙃

Had our groceries delivered for a year and sanitized every bag/box with gloves and a mask on our porch before bringing them inside. Made Ken strip in the garage after work, sanitized his phone/keys/wallet/clothes every night. I’m glad we’re on the other side of that intense wave of anxiety and fear ❤️🥹🙏🏾

paranoid implies a different meaning to me, I'd say you were very cautious. Which I don't see as a bad thing.

But it was logical because there was so much uncertainty as to how the virus was passed. We were told to use plastic over the deceased face (or use a body bag) to keep virus from spreading if we rolled the cot over any bumps,🤔 in addition to regular masks and gloves.

God. The nerves. I’ll never forget the anxiety of embalming my first Covid case. The worst.

Covid is y my sister gave up being a RN she worked in a trauma center in the ER. She’s a NP now she said what she saw will live with her forever. My nephew was just a baby , so many nights she didn’t go home or slept in the car or garage

I work in health care and my anxiety got so bad I had to be put on medication. I work with the elderly and I would have horrible fears that I was reason that they would end up sick with Covid.

I mean, since it gets airborne with things like bone sawing you weren't really being that extra

I am STILL salty over the way funeral professionals were overlooked, Chick!!! lol…. Wasn’t no applause for us. And, the trauma is real. I remember feeling as if people looked at us like ambulance chasers…

I used to leave my old apartment out of the window and fire escape. I lysoled my shoes and clothes at the door to my house and threw them in a garbage bag as soon as I got home. I would then take the hottest, scalding shower. I never ate at work, I’d starve myself until I got home. Oh…and I grocery shopped with gloves on haha

Don't worry, my husband is a doctor and every time he came home from work I made him leave his shoes outside in the hotel hallway until I doused them in lysol daily. I would wipe his badge and lanyard down every shift 😂 we traveled out of town and stayed in a hotel when he was on shifts. Groceries got wiped down with a clorox wipe at the door lol
